Gencare was recently contacted by an assisted living faciity who had an urgent need for nurse staffing coverage. One of their full time employees got ill suddenly and had to take a required medical leave. This left the facility short staffed as another nurse was already on maternity leave. GenCare resources was able to provide a highly skilled nurse in a timely manner, which allowed for continuity of care for the current patients. This also allowed for the facility to not skip a beat. Nurses worked their regular hours as there was no need for them to work overtime and get burned out. More importantly, the facility saved money as they were not required to pay any nurses overtime. The facility was able to maintain their census since they were fully staffed and met their staffing requirements (patient to nurse ratio) per the state of Florida.
