OLIVE V. GAYE, MBA
Founder & President
GenCare Resources Home Healthcare in Orlando, Florida

Olive is the owner and founder of GenCare Resources Healthcare; a healthcare service group that provides medically necessary care to individuals of all ages in the state of Florida as well as medical staffing nationally. Prior to establishing an agency for providing medical care in the community, Olive worked as a Human Resources executive for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the managing body for Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive airport. During her tenor with the airport, Olive was the consummate volunteer for many organizations, believing, as was ingrained in her upbringing, everyone has something to give back to the community.

After thirteen years at the Aviation Authority, Olive decided to make the unprecedented move from Human Resources to Healthcare. Olive’s vision of creating a first –class organization that provides quality home healthcare to individuals of all ages resulted in GenCare Resources Healthcare. The unique organization model of GenCare takes into consideration the “whole” person, not just the medical aspect of homecare. Staying true to her vision and leadership, GenCare Resources Healthcare has established itself as a premier home healthcare company in Florida and medical staffing nationwide. Olive and her team of medical professionals continue to provide quality care to individuals and job opportunities for Floridians while adhering to the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards. GenCare was recently accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Partner, Inc., (CHAP) for its commitment to excellence, was nominated for a 2015 Bright House Central Florida Business Award and is an honored recipient of the GrowFL 2017 Companies to Watch award.

Along with her responsibilities within GenCare Resources, Olive is an active member of her community. Social and religious activities include being an active member of her Church and participating in various community services and charities as well as providing counseling for teenagers and adults; teaching English to non-English speaking adults; organizing meals for the Coalition for the Homeless center; and volunteering with Public Radio activities. Olive is a board member of the Caribbean – American Advisory Council to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a judge for the DECA, a school program that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in Marketing, Finance, Hospitality and Management. Olive is also an event judge and volunteers for HOSA, Health Occupation Students of America, which provides leadership skills for future Healthcare Professionals. GenCare Resources’ unique model and approach takes into consideration the “whole” person, not just the medical aspect of homecare. Olive’s professional memberships include: Board Member of Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce (Orlando Inc.) A graduate of Leadership Orlando (LO), The Society for Human Resources (SHRM); Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF); Chair of the Business Builders group, National Black MBA Association, Florida Executive Women (FEW), Crummer Women Executives and Entrepreneurs, (CWEE).

Olive holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Florida, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Institute of Management and Production in Kingston, Jamaica and is a graduate of ATHENA PowerLink and Leadership Orlando, and a motivational speaker.
